Towards the end of 2010, Lafe’s experienced quite a bit of small business “heartburn and indigestion” in terms of having a user-friendly, easy-to-use shopping cart. Their existing shopping cart, which shall go unnamed, was a bit archiac to say the least. From not being able to control site/products reviews and ratings to not having social media sharing capabilities for products to not allowing for page and site specific search engine optimization, this shopping cart had seen better days. Due to the layout of Lafe’s chosen shopping cart experience, Lafe’s was unable to truly measure the sales tunnel, conversion rates, and overall user experience throughout the site.
