It’s spring here in Fort Worth, Texas. In between Easter and all of the April showers, warmer weather is on the horizon, bringing to the Texas Christian University (TCU) campus an assortment of vibrant colors and sounds.
After a well-deserved Spring Break, students are back on campus, buzzing with excitement. The TCU Men’s Basketball team is making thrilling progress in March Madness, and to add to the excitement, TCU Spring Football is back in full swing!
Speaking of football, our boys, Ian and Seth, were absolutely thrilled to attend a private practice session with the TCU Football team a few weeks ago. It was an unforgettable experience for them, especially knowing that the TCU Football team would soon be lighting up the same field a week or so later at the Friday Lights Spring Football event in the iconic Amon G. Carter Stadium. Check the boys out in action!
But wait, there’s more! The highlight of the private practice for Ian and Seth was the incredible opportunity to meet some football legends. They couldn’t contain their excitement when they got to meet Hall of Fame Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver Michael Irvin. And that’s not all — they also had the chance to chat and snap some pictures with Max Duggan, who was recently drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers, and Emari Demercado, who was recently drafted by the Arizona Cardinals. Talk about a dream come true!

In April, we had the wonderful opportunity to connect with Joya, Pastor Tom “PT” Breckwoldt, and Billy Miller, both of whom are dedicated staff members at Lake Mary Church—an Every Nation Church located in Lake Mary, Florida. PT and his team significantly guided Joya’s spiritual growth during her high school years at Lake Mary Church before she embarked on her journey at TCU.
Excited by the news of a spiritual awakening taking place here at TCU, PT and Billy made the journey from Florida to visit Joya. They wanted to catch up with her and experience the vibrant atmosphere of TCU and Fort Worth, immersing themselves in the sights, sounds, and attractions that make this place so special.

Meeting together was an absolute pleasure. We had the chance to exchange ideas and envision how discipleship can spring into action at TCU in the weeks and months ahead. With prayer, faith, and action, we are committed to meeting students right where they are, sharing the incredible news of Jesus, and walking alongside them in their spiritual formation and growth.
Indeed, God’s presence is undeniably active and moving through Joya’s life. As she settles into the rhythm of college classes and embraces sorority life, an unexpected opportunity arose for her to work at Shake Shack near the campus. It’s evident that this job has been a divine assignment, as it has provided her with a platform to reach out and connect with numerous students she encounters on a daily basis, sharing the message of the Gospel.
God has opened doors for discipleship to flourish in every aspect of Joya’s life, whether it’s her classes, work, or involvement in sorority activities. This semester, six young ladies have responded with open hearts, eagerly embracing the grace of Salvation in Jesus and making a commitment to live their lives for Him. 🙌🏾 To God be the glory!!!

Following their recent completion of the One2One app, they have come together for a weekly Bible study where they read, study, pray, and disciple one another. It has been an incredible blessing to support and witness the transformative power of discipleship in action this semester, both at TCU and in the lives of these inspiring young women.

Lastly, we had the privilege of sharing a bittersweet moment with Isaiah, a talented TCU student and senior, as he concluded his time at the university with a remarkable student recital series. Witnessing the anointing and incredible musical abilities that God has bestowed upon Isaiah was truly awe-inspiring.
Our introduction to Isaiah came through Joya just weeks after we moved to Fort Worth, and he has brought immeasurable joy to our lives ever since. In fact, Isaiah was among the three students who eagerly embraced the opportunity to attend the ENC Student Conference in Orlando, Florida, earlier this year.
As Isaiah wraps up his journey on campus and seeks God’s guidance for the next chapter of his life, we couldn’t be prouder of his unwavering determination and commitment to finishing strong in the natural and supernatural realms. With great anticipation, we await the doors that God will open for Isaiah in the upcoming weeks and months as he embarks on this new life chapter.
And as the chapter of April concludes and May begins, we extend our deepest gratitude to all our partners who have faithfully supported us through their prayers, encouragement, and financial giving. Your unwavering support has been instrumental in facilitating the discipleship movement that is springing into action at TCU this year — and in years to come!
Together, we are making a lasting impact on the lives of students, sharing the good news of Jesus, and witnessing the transformative power of making disciples of Jesus. Thank you for partnering with us on this incredible journey to reach the campus and change the world.
