Miracles on the Campus.

Hello from Cowtown, Funkytown, Panther City, as Fort Worth is commonly called! 

We’re thrilled to update you on our adventures in this vibrant city, where we’re not only immersed in the community but also deeply engaged on the campuses of Texas Christian University (TCU) and Dallas Baptist University (DBU). 

So, pull up a chair, and let’s share some exciting stories.

Reconnecting with Campus Life

One of the most heartwarming aspects of our journey is the beautiful connection we share with our campus students. 

Recently, we invited students from TCU and DBU over for brunch and games, a delightful way to kick off the new school year. 

There’s something truly special about seeing these bright minds come together for fun and fellowship.

For those of you who’ve been following our journey, you might remember Joya, whom we were blessed to meet last year just a couple of weeks before relocating to Fort Worth from Lake Mary, Florida, and Austin, Texas. 

Last year was a remarkable year of miracles as we explored the community and campus together, fervently praying for God’s grace and favor to engage, establish, equip, and empower TCU students to live for Jesus.

This year, it’s like God is saying, “Let’s run this miracle back again!” 

A few weeks before the new semester began, I received a text message from a student named Logan Acuff. Logan was all set to move from Midland, Texas, to Dallas, Texas, to attend Dallas Baptist University. 

The incredible part is that Logan’s home church in Midland is an Every Nation Church, Mid-Cities Church. Through Mid-Cities, Logan learned about the planting of Mosaic Church Fort Worth. 

And if the miracle of getting connected wasn’t enough, Logan has a burning desire to lead the efforts in establishing an Every Nation Campus chapter at DBU after attending last year’s ENC Student Conference. 

Keep Logan in your prayers as we seek God’s heart for His purpose and timing.

Joya’s Adventures at TCU

As for TCU, Joya and her crew have been back on campus for a little over a month now. Everyone is settling into their routines of school, work, and living life in community with familiar and new faces.

It’s a time of growth, both academically and spiritually. God is actively working on the hearts of students who are open and receptive to Joya leading them and their friends through personal discipleship using the One2One App. 

One2One app is a personal discipleship guide for those who’ve never heard of Jesus or are meeting Him for the first time. 

It’s an incredible resource for understanding what it means to walk with Jesus daily, touching on topics like salvation, lordship, repentance, baptism, the Bible, prayer, and the Church.

Every week, we see God stirring in the hearts of students who have yet to surrender their lives to Jesus. It’s a divine intersection where students, through Joya and her friends, explore the Bible and engage in One2One meetings. 

Our prayers continue, and we hold steadfast for miraculous, radical salvations as students are showing a growing interest in learning more about Jesus and establishing a personal relationship with Him rooted in biblical foundations in their daily lives.

Let’s keep praying for Joya and the new believers and followers of Jesus as they engage TCU students who don’t yet know Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Our hope is that students will come to experience His boundless love and be drawn into His kingdom.

Milkshakes for Miracles

And while we’ve been busy with discipleship and campus life, we can’t forget to share a fun tidbit: Milkshakes for Miracles!

Joya is part of the Phi Mu sorority, which hosts an annual fall event to raise funds for Phi Mu’s National Philanthropy, the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Our kids were over the moon, excited to trick out their delicious milkshakes with heaps of sprinkles, candies, whipped cream, and of course, a cherry on top. The event also allowed us to hang out at the Phi Mu sorority house on campus. It was all giggles and fun, as you can imagine.

Cheers to milkshakes and, more importantly, cheers to believing in miracles, signs, and wonders from God as we continue to “reach the campus, change the world” at both TCU and DBU.
