The First Easter in Fort Worth, Texas

Easter weekend has come and gone, and what a glorious celebration it was! As Christians, we know that this time of year is about so much more than just bunnies, eggs, and candy.

It’s about the incredible sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for us on the cross and the victory that He won over death when He rose again on the third day.

As Mosaic Church Fort Worth, we were honored to worship together and celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It was a special occasion for us, as it marked our first-ever in-person Easter Sunday held at Benbrook Middle High School Auditorium in Benbrook, Texas. We were overjoyed to see 18 adults and 8 kids in attendance, and we give all the glory to God for making this possible.

Our service consisted of a pre-recorded video of music and vocals to worship along with, Easter testimonial videos to accompany the sermon series, and a live in-person preaching moment from yours truly, Pastor Alvin, entitled, “Lost and Found,” highlighting all the ways we get lost and all the ways Jesus finds us.

Lost and Found :: All the ways we get lost. All the ways Jesus finds us.

Through the Luke 15 parable of the lost sons, Jesus teaches us the concept of being lost, not just as a physical location but also as a spiritual condition. We also explored how the Father’s loving heart pursues us recklessly and lavishly in unwavering love, finding us and inviting us to return to His heart.

Of course, the biggest celebratory moment was celebrating and proclaiming the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus. It was a beautiful moment that filled the auditorium with joy and hope.

That wasn’t the only exciting news we had to share. We also announced that Mosaic Church Fort Worth will be launching weekly in-person services starting at 10 am on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Westpark Relief Elementary School. This is a huge step for our church, and we’re thrilled to have found a home in the heart of Ventana, a master-planned community in Southwest Fort Worth.
